Making a Bezel Set Stone Stacker Ring: Materials/Tools List

Using our previously made stacker band, we learn how to create a bezel for a stone, solder the bezel to a backplate and shape it, solder the bezel cup to the band and set the stone. Follow along as I show you how easy it is to create your own bezel set stone stacker ring at

Materials Needed:

1/8" fine silver bezel wire (28g) or width needed for your stone
24g sterling silver sheet (dead soft)
Hard solder - wire
Medium solder - wire
Easy solder - wire
Previously made stacker band

Tools Used:

Flush cutters
Jewelry Flat and Half Round Nose Pliers
Steel Bench Block (rubber base optional)
Rawhide Mallot or High Density Nylon Teardrop Mallot
Half Round Ring File
Varying grits of Wet/Dry Sandpaper (320, 400, and 1000 used in video)
3M Polishing Paper Assortment (400-8000 grit)
Hard Charcoal block (compressed)
Heat proof surface (insulated counter mat or baking sheet)
Butane torch (don't forget the butane!)
Third hand
Solder Pick (titanium)
Handy flux
Green Scotchbrite pad
Bowl with water (for quenching and rinsing)
PH Down or Sparex for pickle
Crock Pot for pickle
Wooden ring clamp
Bezel pusher, bezel rocker and/or steel burnisher
